SME Debt Fund

The SME Debt Fund is the flagship vehicle of Bellatrix Investment Managers, launched in November 2021. Its primary aim is to address the liquidity constraints faced by Namibian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The Fund provides short- to medium-term debt financing with four key products:

• ✔ Purchase Order Finance: SMEs with confirmed purchase orders from government ministries, local authorities, state-owned enterprises, or reputable private companies can access upfront financing to deliver on their contracts.


• ✔ Invoice Discounting: Provides SMEs with the financing needed to secure performance guarantees for contracts awarded by government agencies or reputable private companies.


• ✔ Performance Guarantee: Provides SMEs with the financing needed to secure performance guarantees for contracts awarded by government agencies or reputable private companies.


• ✔ Working Capital: Provides SMEs with short-term debt that funds daily operations, inventory, production and expenses, ensuring liquidity while bridging timing gaps between costs and revenues.

Since its inception, the Fund has financed over 500 SME loans, supporting job creation and entrepreneurial resilience in Namibia.
